And throughout this journey, we've examined that hustle for worth culture that we live in and talked about how to steer away from the performance-based mindset toward one that is fully grace-based. In this um final part of the series, we're diving into what's called the secret place. So today you'll learn more about your relationship with God and how it is the true engine of your identity because that's where it comes from. He's our creator, right? And how to protect your peace in an incredibly noisy world. So the vital importance of abiding in Christ, John 15. You know, our sus in our society, busyness is worn like a badge of honor. You know what I'm talking about. You know, we're told that our value equals visibility. You know, how many likes you have, how many followers you have, all of the things, who can see you, um, you know, the good things, right? And as women, we're pulled into so many directions. You know, we juggle sports schedules, um, school events for our kids. And sometimes that even includes travel ball. And that's always on Sunday morning, it seems. So it makes you pause and ask, why is that? Why is it that that falls on a Sunday morning? You know, our culture has slowly shifted away from prioritizing worshiping Jesus Christ as our King. That's why. And on top of that, we are caring for aging parents, providing nutritious meals for our families, often working full-time and managing so much more. So we have all heard of the traditional hierarchy of life balance, and that is God first, then our husbands, and then our children. And when we're told that when God is first, then everything falls into place, right? But the enemy knows this. You know, he's always lurking, he's always following us and listening in, um, which is exactly why he uses distraction and noise to keep us from the one thing that actually empowers you. True intimacy with God. Our relationship with him is like putting on an oxygen mask on an airplane. You know, it's absolutely critical for your survival. And that secret place that I was talking about, that is your direct line to God. Okay. So thinking about overcoming the warfare of distraction and busyness, um, the specific spiritual warfare target we're zeroing in on this week is spiritual burnout and isolation. And that brings us straight to John 15, one through eight, the passage of the vine and the branches. And Jesus tells us plainly that apart from him, we can do nothing. Nothing good, but we can do nothing. Relationship is the fuel for our identity and the vine, that is our victory, and our true identity, it can only come from him. You know, we have a society now that zeroes in on identity of anything but him. Um, I identify as this or that or whatever, but true identity can only come from him, no matter how many times you say it differently. When it comes to warfare of distraction, Satan's greatest weapon against women is simple busyness. It's been said that the enemy can he can't make you bad, but he can make you busy. So we see this perfectly illustrated in the story of Martha and Mary in Luke 10, 38 through 42. And Martha was spinning her wheels, was serving, cultivating, um, and creating this perfect, you know, spread for Jesus. Um, but Mary chose the one thing that is necessary for us, which is sitting at the feet of Jesus. And this is our kingdom connection that I'm talking about. Our authority over self-doubt and comparison flows directly from our intimacy with God. You know, we don't fight a vic fight for victory, we fight from the victory that was already won for us in the secret place. So when we think of building a sustainable relationship with God as a modern woman, what does that look like? You know, your public authority in Christ is directly tied to the private intimacy you maintain with him. Put it simply, you cannot represent a kingdom that you are not spending time in, right? So to return to our first love as uh seen in Revelation 2.4, we have to intentionally build a secret place, a type of routine. This doesn't have to be complicated, and it comes down to three things. Are you ready? One is prayer, so talking and listening to God in time of prayer, in that secret place. The other is meditation on his word, you know. We have the truth right there, you know, diving into it continuously is critical and silence, and that comes from unplugging from all the noise of the world that's telling us anything but Jesus Christ, right? So before we close out the series today, I want to leave you with two powerful reflection questions to take to heart this week. And the first one is when was the last time I sat with God without an agenda or a to-do prayer list? Yeah. The second is my current pace of life truly sustainable for a healthy soul. Okay. I hope this episode challenged and encouraged you. So let's meet up again next week as we launch a brand new series. I can't wait. All right, I'll see you then.
